i use 10/40 motorcyle oil in mine. DO not use car motor oil. make sure its for motorcyles. auto parts should have this, or your yamaha dealer. you should change the oil filter as well

Yamaha has a chart on their website under Warrior owner's manual for oil--but just run 10w30 or 10w40 MOTORCYCLE oil. You have to run a oil designed for wet clutches.

I run 20w50 in the summer and 10w30 or 40 in the winter. It doesnt have to be a yamaha or honda brand oil either. Your just paying for the name. As long as the rating are the same you will be ok. I have been doing this for over 3 years.

in miami, you can run 10w40 yamalube and be fine. if you use anything other than yamalube, be sure it meets or exceeds the JASCO requirement for proper operation of wet clutch bikes/atvs. anything else will make the clutch slip and burn up the brand new one your talking about replacing.
and if you want some kickass tires, get the Carlisle Mud Wolf tires. freaking superb tire. read the reviews on the tire at the following link.

thanks for the input. im picking up the lube tomorrow. thanks for the input everyone.
the tires i might get later this month. i really wont be going mudding as much as i will be trailing through dry land according to what my buddies tell me. ill definetly look into the tires later this week and see how much they cost locally. both the holeshots and the carlisle mud wolf ones.
