The oo's had marine grade electrical, only difference is the speedo. The marine grade electrical is listed as a feature on all my literature from Yamaha for the 2000 model.

I heard from a dealer that they put a minor upgrade in the transmission

Where is that speedo plug located exactly? No problems so far but now I want to double-check this thing.

I was at the dealer on Monday, and was told that the only difference was the marine grade connecters.
