Default 05 Kodiak...no low gear, how does it do plowing??

I'm looking for a used wheeler, came across a 05 w/winch/plow. If I understood the guy correctly it doesn't have a low gear? If that's the case, how does this machine handle plowing or mud in high gear...burn up belts? Thanks. Anything else to say about this atv, good or bad, will be helpful!!

i have an 04 kodiak, just has fwd & rev. put a moose county plow on it and seemd a little sluggish to me plowing, of course i like power anyways, but i did buy aftermarket weights that EPI makes, your local shop can order them thru parts unlimited. i also by-passed the reverse rev limiter, just hated when it cut out backing up, especially in the mud !!! but anyways, the weights gave it a little more low end torque, you will lose top end mph, but then again, its not a race machine, i love mine,

I have an 05 Kodiak 450 and it has High/Low, 4 wheel and locking 4 wheel.
I have been plowing with mine for 3 years now and no propblem.
If the snow is heavy I use low, but most time I just use high.
I do use 4 wheel though.
Have never had to use locking 4 wheel to plow.
