EPS light came on and stay's on. checked the 40A fuse, checks out good. what should i look for next? thanks in advance

 

I would take it to a dealer. There is not many issues with the EPS so ther is not allot of info on how to fix minnor issues!

 

You might also try calling Yama customer relations. Might it be the the small fuse IN the wiring is unplugged? I've heard of something similar happening.

 

This may sound silly, but is the EPS light on AND the EPS is not working or is just the EPS light on?

not silly at all. went to my local yamie dealer and ask the servicing techs about this. they too asked the same question.
well, me being the "silly" one here, i took it out for a spin in my yard and...yeah, the light went out and the steering is fine.
not sure what cuased the condition, it could have been from sitting up for 2 months (or longer).
