As a proud new owner of an 87 warrior I've started working on it. I know for a fact that when pull started it idles, and runs perfectly, but when trying to start using the electric switch there is nothing that happens. I know the battery is good, and the solinoid does click. So my question is there anything else besides the starter it could be? Thanks in advance for helping someone who is new to Yamaha

If the starter solenoid does indeed click, then the only things that could be wrong are: bad battery, bad starter solenoid, bad starter, bad power wiring from the battery to the solenoid or from the solenoid to the starter, bad ground wire from the battery to the engine. Make sure the ground wire is hooked up from the battery to the engine (big black wire) and make sure it is actually the starter relay that is clicking and not the 2 smaller relays. You can test the starter relay by jumping the 2 large terminals with an 8 gauge wire or screwdriver and you can test the starter by sending 12 volts straight to the starter motor with some jumper cables. Hook the negative jumper to the engine or bare metal that is attached to the engine by metal (like the footpeg) and hook the positive terminal to the starter motor wire terminal for just a few seconds to see if the starter turns over.
