banshee help wont idle

Default banshee help wont idle

have 05 banshee it had 280 mains fmf pipes, cool head with 22 mm domes, bike ran fine until we installed vitos pistions super stockers, cpi drag pipes, runs like crap now, wont idle unless chokes out and very hard to start, bike runs better with choke out please help

When my buddy put drag pipes on his he had to put bigger carbs to make it run right i think they are 34 or 35 carbs but i dont think you need to go that big he uses his for stricktly racing nothing else

thanks dune rat, i was kinda of thinking it was the drag pipes also, ill put the knarlys back on and see

just do some plug chops, warm the bike up on old plugs and then install new ones then go full throttle through all gears then pull in clutch and shutoff and drift to a stop and pull the plugs and see what youve got, u want a 2mm smoke ring, to see this you gotta cut the side of the plug, also carb sync tools are super handy for banshees. heres a pic so u see what i mean.

thanks warrior, im pretty good on 4 strokes but hate banshee, but do u think ill have to run 330 or 320 mains, thats alot of fuel, ive only got stock bore stock stroke, stock carbs

its hard for me to say, im not sure where your located and that plays a big difference on jetting, best thing to do is just ask the engine lol, by doing a few plug chops and seeing where your bike is running at then taking it from there is the best thing to do,but my guess is you need somewhere around 320 sized jets or so, CPI pipes are one of the best in the business for banshees that and your other mods will require it to run a little fatter then previously.
