warrior vs blaster

how would a blaster have the bottom end? lol 2 strokes dont have bottom end power(except cr500s and such) its four strokes that have the torque, blasters are just a little peppier being that there a 2 stroke, there power kicks in harder than the smooth and stronger powerband the warrior has but a warrior will still barely beat a blaster most of the time.

what pipe and airfilter is best?? (for the money) and for the pipe can i just get the end or do i have to get the headder and the piece inbetween? and right now it looks like there a really cheap airfilter on it it almost looks home made?? lol Also when i buy a pipe i dont have to re jet it do i?? Thanks Zachary

HMF slip-on is the way to go for the Warrior. There's no need to buy the whole pipe. You don't need to rejet if you just add a slip-on, but you will not gain a whole lot unless you rejet. If you change your air filter with an aftermarket filter, you will have to rejet. I would get the HMF, a K&N filter, and rejet it all at the same time.

yea i have a warrior too nd i put a HMF pipe on it nd had it jetted. its deff worth it. as for the sound it can be pretty loud, i have the same prob u do with going down the block to my trails i just try to put it in a higher gear nd give it very little gas so its not that loud. deff invest in one.

Possibly. If you are installing a slip-on/pipe(more air flow) AND the filter(also more air flow) over stock at the same time, you HAVE to jet up on pretty much every carbed quad(flow more air, you have to flow more fuel to keep the mixture right.)

Hello,
I had an 02 Warrior and I had no trouble keeping up with 400 EX's on a hare scramble trail. And before anyone gets insulted by that statement, I realize that in a drag race the 400EX will outrun a Warrior, but not by a huge amount if the right rider is on the Warrior. It has been my experience that most quads spend the majority of their time going less than top speed so the easiest mod would be to drop the gear ratio for more low end grunt. You wouldn't have to make it loud that way. The great thing about a Warrior is that they are nearly bulletproof. Great quad, not as sophistcated as some of the other more expensive quads but a great quad.

yea ive rode along with a guy who had a 400ex with just holeshots on it the rest was stock, he usually just does wheelies and goofs around, i usually didnt actually ride with him, but one day i figured i would ride with him and he basically rode full throttle around where we was riding and i had no trouble at all keeping up with him, then he had to chase me and i could pull away from him pretty fast, if we where at an area where it was wide open he would catch back up, everywhere else i pretty much left him behind, its pretty obvious that a 400ex has a little more top speed than a warrior, and mine has stock gear ratio.
