Kodiak Rear Diff Seal Replacement

Kodiak Rear Diff Seal Replacement
My 06' Kodiak has a rear diff seal leaking. It's the seal on side of diff where the axle enters. Will the axle come out of diff in 1 piece when I yank on it or will it seperate at the inner CV joint leaving the greenish color cv cup still attached to diff? How hard of job is this? Any links with photos to this?

Kodiak Rear Diff Seal Replacement
Thanks for help Traildad. Got axle out with 1 yank. The circlip on end of splines is still attached to axle. When you say replace circlip do you mean get new one or does it normally come off when axle pops out? Now just waiting on seal. Does axle go back in fairly easy? Does it require an extra shove?

Kodiak Rear Diff Seal Replacement
According to the manual the circlip should always be replaced with a new one. I ordered two seals and two circlips. They are all the same on all 4 axles. That way if I fouled up installing the axle and ruined the seal I had a spare. When the axle goes back in, insert it so the splines line up, center the axle, then give it a fast shove. It is best if someone is pushing against the quad so it doesn't move. Be sure to apply a thin layer of lithium soap based grease to the rubber on the seal and the metal that gets shoved into it.
