New Owner Of Used '05 Kodiak 400 - Have Questions
The squeak is very common. Let us know if the brake pads fix the problem. The shock should be adjustable. I had to get a special spanner wrench. Yamaha did not sell one that fit. You can't buy any one and assume that it will fit. Some people just use a pipe wrench. It is possible that your battery is weak and not putting out enough juice when cold. If you could pin down what was making the buzzing noise you will have a better chance figuring out what is causing it.

Is there a buddy you could swap batteries with just to check? I done that with a faulty relay switch on a winch. Borrowed the switch from a friends atv to clarify the switch on mine was bad. If we didn't have to work on them now and then it wouldn't be a hobby.
