Anybody here try the webcams 17/88mc grind????? It has a .440lift 258dur @.050 int. .390lift 244dur@ .050 exh.???? Would this be a good topend cam with good midrange power?????

Anybody here know if a 1988 big bear 350 head will fit on a warrior???? All the part nubers and gaskets on the top end are the same but head and valves!!!! I'm thinnking the valves might be smaller.. Will it work????

Thanks
Jerry

I always ran the 84 grind webcam, which is an excellent top and mid range cam without losing bottom end. The big bear probably uses smaller valves on the same head. I believe the 350 Wolverine head is the exact same as a Warrior.

I believe that is a newer cam from Web isn't it? I don't recall it being available when I purchased my 84 grind a few years ago. I would also be curious as to what anyone has to say about this cam if anyone out there is using it.

Yes it is... Whats funny is this is the same cam webcam made for white brothers in the early 2000's for a match to there R-4 exhaust systems.... They also had a carb kit also!!! So this is my engine build.. Engine has a WB R-4 full exhaust, Uni-filter and 150mj. Bike has sooo muccch power as it is. I can pull the front wheels off the ground in 2nd gear at just 1/4 throttle sitting down on the seat on the street!!!!! It's fast now for a warrior.. My buddy has one and he say's this ones faster.. He wanted to know the jetting.. It was stock.. I put the 150 in and it was better.. After I put the uni in I think I'm a little lean.. He only rode it with the pipe!!!

Anyway this is the build I'm doing:
1) 83.50mm wisco 10.25/1 piston. (already have the piston and a new cyclinder ready to go on)
2) webcams 17/88mc grind (already have) .440lift dur@.050 256 int. .390 lift dur@.050 244 exh. About 33 duration more the stock on intake (.223 stk) 21 more on exhaust. .1 more lift on intake and .05 more lift on exhaust!!! Keebler white ti springs and retainers.
3) Suzuki ltz 400 carb. 38mm cvt. more power. this is the latest mods to get more power out of the old warrior.. It's just like the new raptor 350 carbs.
4) clutch cover oil cooling mod...
5) got a big bear head I'm going to polish out the exhaust port and blend the sharp port angles to help flow a little. I'll blend the intake angles also!!!!

What i'm not sure of is the Big Bear head.. I don't know if the valves are smaller or larger.. I don't want to do any porting on the warrior head so I have something to put back on the engine if something goes wrong...

Anybody think this would be a good build?????????

I am sure it would be, but why dump so much into a Warrior? This is coming from someone who has done it. Unless there is just something about the Warrior that you prefer over any other quad, there is no reason to do that when a Z-400 or something similar can be had for so cheap right now.

Your right it's money.. But I payed for the cam, piston, cylinder, head, carb, springs and uni filter $330.00. Warrior $750.00 had the full exhaust, new tires chain & sprockets. I put new brake pads & bushings in the front. So far I put $1100.00 into the warrior including the stuff I'm doing to the engine!!! So thats why I'm doing it.... So after I do the oil cooler mod I'll have about $1200.00 into it.. Im sure it'll be a badasss warrior!!!!!!!! I should have no trouble maybe getting $1800.00 out of it... Plus it will be fun just watch the stock piped 400's not running away from me so easy.... They still may out run me, but if I get the hole shot they would have a good race to catch me.... Thats why...

What do you think of that idea????????????????

You should also try their cookies, they're awesome! Kibblewhite makes the springs. I think your build will be good, but I'm a little concerned about the Big Bear head. Are you sure it's the same as the Warrior? Better double check the valve sizes and the intake and exhaust port opening sizes before you spend a lot of time on it.

Being in the grocery industry keebler is alright!!! Thanks for correcting me.. Kibblewhite ti springs and retainers...
Anyway I got a good Big Bear head coming thats why I asked the questions.. I don't know the valve sizes or if the ports are smaller... The worst case I'd have to sell it and just use my warrior head.. I'd just use the warrior head stock if I have to use it... I don't what to mess it up polishing the exhaust.. Thats why I got the Big bear head... I can't find valve sizes for them anywhere....

Thanks
Jerry
