Default Drive Belt Replacment

I recently obtained a 1998 Grizzly 600. First time out with it, got stuck in some (alot) of mud. Drive belt immediately started to slip. Is the drive belt hard to replace on my own??? What do I need to do. ALso, any tips for ensuring a good watertight seal after I replace the belt........

you better make a snorket kit for the belt drive, iam just about had to with belt drives , im doing mine right now new belt is on, every cleaned up ,got new gasket for side cover, i got to find some bendable plastic for my 600.

belt slip does bite esp. when your 5 miles from your truck in you got to go back throught what you just got wet in..

When you do get the belt off, get some emory cloth or you can use a scotch brite and clean the sheaves really good before you put everything back together. They can get a glaze on them and your belt will still slip even when new. Found that out the hard way and had to take it all apart and clean mine. Works fine now.
