Default Help with Beartracker

I have a bear tracker 250cc. I am not sure of the year but I know it is 2001 or 2002. I am having trouble with the carb. I just ordered a rebuild kit for it but not sure of the setting once I am finished. Also I am having trouble disconnecting the throttle cable from the carb itself. Not sure how to get it apart to remove the carb. The bike does run, but only on half choke. Also when I give it gas it cuts out right away. Any Help?

I don't have a beartracker but from this picture if you pop off the cover labeled #30, you should be able to see how the cable is connected and remove it. If not, post a picture of your carb with that cover removed and I'm sure someone could help.
