Default 1997 Banshee Engine trouble

Banshee bogs down when I hit power band. I have cleaned the carbs and the bike still continues to bog when I hit power band. It runs fine when idling. Any ideas or suggestions

Have u done any mods like pipes that would require to rejet that you haven't mentioned? Go into more detail and I'd expect more responses.

Did it run fine previously and now started to bog, or after the Toomeys and rejetting? If it was good then started to act up, you could check your reeds, or make sure both your carbs are opening together, I know on a sled, if you have one carb that lags the other, it will run like crap when you try to open it up.

I took the bike to get the pipes put on and the guy put the wrong jets in which screwed up the motor. He rebuilt the motor and and put the right jets in. Ran fine for a couple trips then starting screwing up. Cleaned carbs and checked jets, everything is good. But still bogs down when I hit it.

its prolly still something in your carb, whats the plugs look like, and do the pipes smoke evenly? also after running for a bit see if pipes are about the same temperature.

If he jetted it wrong it probably was lean and it scored the walls of the cylinders. He probably just threw new rings on it when gave it back to you. The cylinders need to be honed.

Good point. I will check that tomorrow! Today I took the bearing out of the gas cap, which could possibly be a problem. Started the bike, warmed it up, and it hit power band no problem. But I will look at the cylinders tomorrow. Thanks for the info!!!!
