do you mean the gas cap itself that you unscrew and screw on to put gas in
if its a little black hose its just the breather and it can just go thru the bars
i have an 02 blaster and where i put my key is under the handle bars and right next to the key is a hole for the breather to sit in
on mine the breather is for the fumes to get out of the tank so it dont vapor lock
but im pretty sure thats what yours is for too

yes the hose from the gas cap, on the blaster I just bought it goes to the crankcase just wondering if that is normal or should I just cut the hose and from the crancase?

i dont know then
my hose on the gas cap is about 9-10 inches and i just have it sittin there
i dont have any house going from the top of my gas cap to the crankcase
but it could be different on how that person had it set up

no it doesn't go in the crankcase, if it does and pressure builds in the tank the gas could end up in the crankcase. thus mixing with the oil and causing some major problems with seals and bearings.

Ok thanks, I will cut the hose , so the crankcase hose is just a vent and it can just terminate up by the tank then right?

yea thats weird lol, the gas tank has a vent and the crankcase has a vent both of them just usually have a hose hanging out, ive heard of people putting a small filter on the end of the hoses or running the vent hose into an airbox but i havent heard of that.

They should definitely not be connected. The tank cap should hang down into the gap at the bottom of the handlebars. The crankcase hose should go up into the top of the frame then hang down.
