2003 blaster promblem

Default 2003 blaster promblem

i trade for it and it has fmf exhaust and i cleaned the carb.i fixed the tors system and it has good compession .i also cleaned the air filter and checked the reeds.my promblem is it has a miss or sputtering and it dont seem to have as much power as it should.they just overhauled the motor but it has a loud noise in the top of it would this cause my promblem .i forgot to add it has a 230 main jet i dont no if this is the right size or not.it seems like the rev limiter is kicking in lower rpms.any help is appreciated thanks.

Is your TORS removed?
What air filter u running?
Elevation?
Riding temp?
Did you take the carb apart and clean it?
More info would help alot

Default 2003 blaster promblem

Make sure and take the carb completely apart, so many don't take the main nozzle out and this will create a bog and sputter from mid range up. Like JLsparky7 asked, I don't know where your located but 230 seems small. Granted we had a lot of work done to the motor but we ran a 330 or 350 main. But just make sure you take ALL the pieces apart to clean it.

i have removed the tors and the air filter looks stock.i have completely cleaned everything in the carb.i live in kentucky and do you believe it is my main jet

Default 2003 blaster promblem

I live in TN and 230 is fine for a stock blaster but you might need to go up to a 260 or even a 280 with the pipe. Clean the carb and check your plug gap and coil for resistance.
