Default How do I set the timing on a 1999 Badger?

My friends Badger sucked in the choke flap screw and it bent the valve! So now it is all back together but it doesnt want to start. I am not sure if the timing is all out of wack or if it is on 180 degrees off. The cam sprocket will only go on one way. I just dont know if the chain moved on the crank sprocket. How can I tell for sure? I dont remember seeing any timing marks.
