Unhappy Warrior that is not running right

I have a friends warrior at my home that is not running right he though the carb needed cleaning, I don't think its the problem. This is what is happening, The machine starts up just fine and goes great till it warms up. when it is warm it idles good but as soon as I punch it it dies out, and does not have enough power to even turn the wheels. If I let off the throttle and give it slow throttle it will pick up a bit but just at low rpm and I can move. Any ideas?

Yeah sounds like you need a carb cleaning.

Idle jet should be about 2 turns out.

It prolly just needs a carb cleaning. install an inline fuel filter and it will help a lot.

the carbs I have worked on usually have two screws for setting one for idle and one for air/fuel adjustment. I notice on this carb I only see one adjustment screw out the bottom of the carb that seems to adjust idle speed, is this the only adjustment on this carb? If there is another adjustment where can I find it? What is under the black cover on the side of the carb, thanks Bryan

If cleaning the carb doesn't work, you might check the valves. I have seen a warrior act like that where it would run fine until it warmed up and there was a valve stuck.

Well, is it the old Wolvy 350? If so, same motor, same things to try.
