While I'm at it, I finally got around to adjusting my valves and at TDC the clearances are perfect, but I still get a loud tick when the motor warms up could the timing chain be of or something?

its possible the timing chain might be a little worn and or the timing chain guides also, the yfm350 models have noisey valvetrain anyways, was it always that noisey?

When I first got it not really, but it has gotten noticably louder since I started riding it weekly. It used to be owned by a guy who pretty much only used it to plow his driveways in the winter.

On the plus side, I got my CFM 2 inch lift kit put on today. Man, this thing is taaaaaallll!!!
