Default Question for Trail Junkies

I am in the market for another wheeler. I just offloaded a Polaris Scrambler and have a few bucks to spend. I have a line on an 02 Raptor 660, completely stock, 1 owner.

I don't see any info good or bad in regards to this bike. Can any of you give me a heads up on what to look for on this quad. Is there any known issues? What would a fair price be on the quad if in fair to good condition.

Thanks

make sure the recall on the trannsmission was done I know those were a main issue with those.Other than that they are a nice quad I own a 2001 an have no complaints. I sold a 01 for 2200 an I bought this one for 1800 just to give you some idea

Nice bike. A little tall for the stock width but that's easy to change.

As far as I know the only year the trannys were a problem were '01's. Yamaha fixed it for the '02 models.

That is correct, just the 01 had the grenade stored in it's tranny.

They are good quads, I would def. look to budget an axle or offset rims and some wider a arms. I don't really like the riding position, but I am used to the low, wide, and lighter 450's and 250 2 strokes before that. It will be a ton sportier than that Scrambler in most conditions.
