if you put a filter or exhaust on your bike they will void. if you do anything to the bike they will void the warrenty. even if you dont do anything most likely they find a way to not pay for something if it happens.

Have you pushed your machine to the limits in stock trim. Is the machine just to slow for your abilities? You should ride for a while and make mods you need for your skill level or style. I have a 2008 yfz and it stands up to many other modified ones on the practice track.

the quick shot has to be adjusted for each bike i had to fine tune it for my 06 and it doesn't nescessarily improve horsepower it takes out the lag of pumping on the throttle it shoots a more direct stream of fuel to improve throttle response

i have rode alot in my lifetime not saying i am not impressed with the power from the yfz but knowing me i always want more out of something.....my goal is to be the fastest around. we mostly do road riding around here so i ordered a sprocket one tooth up on the front and a uni filter the other day. but i'm gonna take it slow and try to get the most out of it. but i have recently heard if i throw a pipe and jet kit on it i'm looking at a easy 50hp is this true?

From the people that I've raced with and talked to about the cam mod it seems to be "hit and miss" as to whether or not people actually like it and get any performance gain from it.Some people say that they could tell a difference after doing it, some people say that it didn't make a difference at all and some people say that it slowed them down.
The best mods that I did to my 05 YFZ450 were to put on a DG slip-on muffler, re-jett the carb with a 168 main jet, take the lid off of the airbox, put a Pro-Flow kit on it with a K&N airfilter and widen it out.At our local 1/8th mile dragstrip (660 feet) it runs 8.60's with these mods which is about 1 second faster than when it was stock.
