This Blaster is supposedly a 1994 Blaster. And supposed bored 30 over. He got for $500 bucks and it ran fine. But then he bought a DG complete exhaust system and it went down hill. The Blaster turned the headpipe totally black. And it fouls plugs like crazy. Now here recently it won't start not unless you pull with another ATV. But then the further you go in the gears less it wants to run and when we went to park it awhile ago you rev it up and the motor makes a loud clanging noise. Sounds to me like it needs a new piston kit what is you guys feed on this?

Did he re-jet it when he put on the exhaust? If not then the engine wouldn't have run right. As for the piston kit, check compression, crankcase leakes, and piston slap. If anything is wrong with ANY of these, it would ruin the engine. If you check for engine slap by taking off the head and wiggling the piston, remember to replace the head gasket.

Id say it probally needs new rings at the least, though if replacing them you might as well throw a new piston in with it.. When you buy a pipe or reeds or anything to do with the motor you have to re-jett it.
