I have a yamaha Kodiak 4x4 utramatic ATV

the problem is that my battery is not charging I replaced the the battery with the one recommended, cleanned all the terminals and still the battery will not charge can any one help me with this problem or does any one have a suggestion what maybe causing this problem.

 

Put a volt meter on the battery terminals with the engine running. You should get about 14 volts. If so, your charging system is fine, less and it could be a bad stator or voltage regulator.

 

First off welcome to the forums! I love my Grizzly 450 (kodiak 450) great Quad!

Adonis has the right idea! Anyhow Here is a link w/instructions on how to download a copy of the 03-06 Kodiak 450 manual... That way if you have to replace the stator or voltage regulator

4. Scroll down to the Bottom.... where you will see
