I don't really what it smells like, I really didn't pay attention to what it smelled like.

well usually when something is smoking or burning u cant help but smell it lol. i dont see what else could cause it to smoke other then the belt unless something else just completely got toasted.

sorry, I didn't really pay attention to the smell I just wanted to make sure that the quad wasn't dying!!!

Well maybe it's like papahpuse said, that the oil pump was dying???
