Default 01 warrior not revving after cleaning carb

I just cleaned my carb on my 01 warrior, completely dissasembled and soaked the body, etc. After i got my idle set and adjusted the fuel mixture screw, i took it out for a ride and it had no power, definetly sounded like it was hitting the rev limiter. The previous owner already removed the parking brake, but i did find two loose black wires under the hood, hooked them up too but that didnt make a difference. Messed with the carb in all kinds of ways but it still wouldnt rev up. IM thinking the issue is more than likely electrical, but im kinda stumped as to what it would be. Anyone got any ideas?

also, last night i took it out for a ride after picking it up, and it shut down while riding. Pushed it home and found a loose connector on what i think is the CDI box. Started it up but didnt ride it anywhere. Decided to clean the carb after that since ive been finding more and more things screwed up on this heap (hope the guy is enjoying the perfectly running quad i traded him)

sounds like a wiring prob, a frayed wire somewhere grounding it self out or a bad ground, i know the cdi has a ground not far from it.

ouch that sucks, how exactly is it broke? if you get another you might as well go aftermarket, webb cams is the way to go unless your lazy and dont feel like getting better valve springs then the stage 1 or 2 hotcam is ok, i actually still have my stock cam, lol.

The area of the cam where the pin is for the camshaft gear snapped and allowed the pin to come loose, allowing the gear itself to move out of time. Alrady got a Hotcam Stage 1 cam on the way, dont need a crazy ride, i only got like 3 mins of ride time on it anyway. I already had to order a new axle (snagged a durablue off ebay for 95 bucks) and whole bearing kit

ohh damn, wonder what caused that to happen? a cam sprocket not tightened down enough maybe, hopefully it doesnt happen again...

what caused it to happen was the exhaust side timing chain guide, that wasnt installed correctly, sitting at the bottom of the crank case, allowed alot of slop on the chain... this whole quad is a basket case.
