cant wheelie 06 grizz 660?
#1
hey fellas, stock grizzly with 27x12x12 front and back itp mud lites on stock rims. Everything else stock. Needs more bottom end! bogs down in the hole too. Would just a clutch kit make a big difference? Would it make it so i can lift the front end up. Guess i can wheelie if i stand on the back rack and throw weight back, but that is just gay.
So just clutch kit good? What brand? Looking at dalton. Should i change stock pipe and rejet? thanks fellas

the best kit would be Dalton yes, (they are from my home town :P same with fundy powersports) they will be better with ur 27's, BUT the yamaha os not a wheelie machine, a REAL wheelie requires raw POWER, and the grizz has none... dont get me wronge the grizz is one of the best machine out there, BUT if you want straight power get a kawi brute 750 or a sport quad, i do stunts with my brute(shows like monster trucks ect.) iv tried every machine, polaris.....i say nothing lol, yamaha , the best trail bike, Kawasaki, raw power and fun and honda ....slow and boring and i dident think it was that reliable anyways, i know a guy with a grizz 660(2007) and he loves it but to wheelie he has a weight in the back, same as i do in my kodiak so i dont have to lean(its not bad for bike only like 20lbs)

I have a 05 Grizzly 660 with 27" swamplites and mine doesn't wheelie either (i have the 450 kodiak weights and diff. springs) .. Not that I am really worried about it though, just as long as it goes past all of the Rincon's in the mud.. lol

JMO but how about not worrying about wheeling a utility ATV. That's not what they were designed to do and if that's really important to you maybe you need a sport quad.
Some jackass with his girlfriend on the back decided to wheelie across the lot at the spring run we had. He hit a dip, launched the quad and his girlfriend into the air, came crashing down and had to be taken away by ambulance.
What I'm trying to say is that use the machine for what it's designed for and don't show off.
Now if you have low end bog that needs attention you may have to look at the carb/fuel system as well as maybe consider a clutch kit.
