Default dissappointed in warrior

i was about to purchase a friends warrior for 1600 dollars. i got on it, and it was not comfortable at all, and when i rode it i could not stop thinking about how slow it is. there is nothing wrong with it, mint condition but it was just real slow, i think that my old blaster without its mods could have stayed right next to this and may have even been faster, any thoughts or opinions

there a classic atv, kinda heavy specially in the front, stock for stock there slightly faster then a blaster in a drag, blasters may feel a little peppier being that its a lightweight 2 stroke but the warrior has a little more power, there also a pretty reliable bike, just a little outdated.

I agree with 91warrior357. The warrior is a little outdated and there are a lot of other fourwheelers that will beat it in an all out drag. The reason I bought mine is for the price that you can pick one up it still pretty quick and it will keep up with the best of them on the trails. Just depends on what your wanting one for. Most of my friends ride 700cc sportsmans and prairies and I didn't want to spend 4k on a play toy. I have $1000 in my warrior and I dont have any problems keep up or even passing them some times.

alota people dont realize that the warrior is an OLD atv...just think its been damn near unchanged from like 87-03... the first atv was i think a suzuki in 1985...a lt 125 or something so the warrior is like one of the first atvs and one of the best selling, but there not for everyone some people need a newer atv that rides better and is more comfortable.

I had an 02 Warrior and sure it wasn't the fastest thing on the trails but it is one of the more dependable machines ever built. You can beat them for years and they keep coming back for more. For a mint condition Warrior, $1600 is a little money for a lot of fun IMO

20 years ago you couldn't get a faster 4 stroke quad. These days they are also rans in the power department. If you aren't satisfied with it before the purchase, I don't see any way to get over that afterwards. Probably better off waiting for something with a bigger engine and better suspension to come along.

100% agree except.. warrior is 87-04 anyway.. these quads are underrated IMO.. alot of people talk them down. I'll admit they definitely don't ride like the newer quads but for a trail quad it's perfect. close gear ratio, tons of low end power, and really top of the line for many years.( **** till like the mid-late 90s) It wasn't until the 2 strokes started to be phased out that the 4 stroke technology REALLY kicked in gear.

I did some headwork to my warrior this last year and it really woke it up. has so much low end torque it's insane

Didn't they just rebadge and update the plastics and call the new Warrior, a Raptor 350?
