I thought the warriors went to 6 speed transmissions in the late 90's the yamaha shop says there all 6 speeds... Not that its a big deal but what year did the warrior become a 6 speed engine??? I got a 92 warrior from a freind who swears it's a 5 speed, but I counted the shifts and it's a 6sp tranny.. I'm trying to figure if engine was replaced with a later engine..

Nope a Warrior has always been a 6 speed.
