i will try using the stock clamp. it is pretty rusty so i don't know if it will hold up though

i got a 99 warrior. i put a uni airfilter, changed the front sprocket, put a dynojet kit on it,(cut away the air filter lid), and put a fmf aftermarket pipe on it, and i ran side by side with a truck doing 71. so, yea its possible.
