Default HELP!!! Big Bear ball joint removal

Can ANYONE help give me advice on how to remove the ball joints on a 2002 Yamaha Big Bear???? Sorry to start a new thread about ball joint removal, but I've spent hours all over this site and others on the internet, reading about removing ball joints. I have spent about 6 hours trying to remove just ONE ball joint and have had NO success. I do not have a pickle fork or a special removal tool. I live in a remote fly-in only community and have little access to part or tool stores. I am not the best mechanic in the world, but from my research this job should not be THIS hard. HELP!!!

I assume that you are trying to separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle. The best way to do this is to loosen the nut on the ball joint, but don't remove the nut. Then take a hammer and strike the knuckle where the ball joint goes threw the knuckle. The vibration will loosen the press fit between the knuckle and ball joint.
