i have a 3000 pound warn that came on my wheeler, its a great winch you get what u pay for

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Lets move on, how about size. It seems like a 2500lb is the most common size. What about a 3500lb, is that over kill, seeing that I won't be using it for anything other than pulling myself or someone else out of trouble. also cable over rope.

they say 500 or less go with 2500.550 and up go with 3000lb but that is because they would think u would carry more weight because of a bigger machine.i would go with a 2500lb winch and that is it.that is plenty.
i went with rope this time due to less maintance if it snaps easy to retie
to the hook.the cable they have been using for years and still due so u wont go wrong with cable or rope.cable is also cheaper.
