Default 99 Kodiak carb kit?

I have a 99 kodiak (non ca)and I would like to rebuild the carb. For some reason no kit seems to be offered for the 99's??? I checked the yamaha part numbers for 98,99 and 00. They used 3 different carbs in those 3 years!

any leads?

the parts are out there. when the stealership rebuilt the carb for my 99 350 big bear, it took them almost 2 months to locate all the parts for a rebuild. i would check in to aftermarket carbs like holley or edlebrock. those mikuni carbs are nothing but ****.

Edelbrock does not offer a carb for my machine. Holley does not appear to make ATV carbs at all

I can get all the individual parts with no problems (in stock)from yamaha. A kit would make things a lot easier (and cheaper) though

Might check E-bay for older carb kits.
Maybe even check for older big bear kits and e-mail the e-bay store to see if they have a kit for yours and just not listed.

There are no 99 kits on ebay. only 96-98 and 00-0*.

I have contacted each of the vendors asking if they offer a 99 kit. So far none have one. They cannot get them.

Ok. I just picked up a 99 Kodiak that's going to need a top end pretty soon with a carb rebuild also. I hadn't actually looked for a kit yet.
What parts do you need for the rebuild?
I was looking at a parts website and the 98 & 99 Big bear uses basically the same carb with a different main jet. The needle and pilot looked the same but didn't look up the air jet. The gaskets are all the same so might be something out for the big bear.
I'll keep looking but if you find anything before hand keep us posted.

Looks like the 96-04' 350 Wolverine carbs are the same also. Possibly different air and main jets.

I went though the parts breakdown. A 99 Big Bear 350 shares everything except the main jet. Only problem is 99 BB kits are not available either

Same thing I'm finding. I couldn't even find a dynojet kit for this model carb.
I'll probably just buy new gaskets and re-use jets and needles.
If the Kodiak and Big bear are showing out of stock, the 04 Wolverine parts will work and show in stock.
Seperate jets you can buy for about $4-5 each from any dealer. The needles and seats will be expensive so try and clean them as best as possible.

Wondering if any of your ideas worked as I am in the same boat.
