Hi there... So I have figured out that I now own a 1989 Moto 4 225, and it runs good.

Problem is with starting it.... I will stop here and mention that in my current phase of life I am trying to learn more mechnical skills, but right now I am limited...

So back to my problem... When I try to start the machine cold, choke on it turns over and nothing happens... then I get a soft pop or two, then after a couple of pops it starts, idles and runs fine.

When I start it warm but after a few minutes of being off I get a couple of LOUD backfires and then it will start.

I have new plugs, not yet installed.

Where do I start? Any thoughts?

I figured now that it is running good and I am not going to push it over a cliff I would post a bad cell phone picture of it...
