Default Installing a wench on Grizzly 700

I just sold my 2003 Grizzly and going to get a 2009 700 with EPS this weekend. I took my old warn wench off of my 2003. I removed my wiring, mount, and switch. Will it fit the 2009 and how hard is it to install the wench, mount and wiring on the new one. Will the old mount fit. Is there anywhere that you can get the service manual on line free like I did for the 2003?

I'm sure the old wench probably gained a little weight over the years.... a can of axle grease, shoe horn and a kick in the a$$ should do the trick. I could give some suggestions on how to mount the old wench, but this is a family forum and mounting a new wench would be much more exciting. Congrats on the new Grizz by the way, have the same and will be purchasing a new wench, after a couple kids the old one isn't much fun anymore. Don't have a wired on/off switch, but would sure be a nice option to have LOL.

Sorry couldn't help it lol, will be looking for info on how to istall a winch myself soon.

All you will need is a mounting bracket for the 700 Grizz to install your old WINCH.
By the way, is your old wench still worth mounting?

All you will need is a new winch mounting kit specificaly for the Grizz 700. Depending on the winch you have now it shoud fit just fine it just depends on the the length of the wire.

The winch is about 4 years old and is a warn 2500. looks good. I have used is a few times but not a lot. Will the mount off of the 2003 fit the 2009. Is there somewhere you can download service manual for the 2009? Is there somewhere to get a wiring diagram for the winch hook up. looks simple but where does the red wire from the controls tie in too? One last thing, how do you update your profile on here to puy what kind of atv you have?

Old wenches can be "a little dry". Try butter flavor Crisco instead of axle grease....
