Default Wheelies?

Does anyone know why I cant wheelie? I have a 2006 YFZ 450 jetted, Sparks Exhaust, and Pro Design Airfilter. I have tried using the clutch and NOT using the clutch. The only way I can get em is by coming off the top of a hill or going over a bump. For the most part I just want to be able to do them by flooring it in nice flat sand. ( YES I ONLY RIDE SAND, SO DONT SAY ITS EASY CUASE YOU PROBABLY RIDE DIRT) Please help!

First of all how much do you weigh? all my banshee has is toomey tr6 pipes, K&N air filter and pods, v*force 3 reeds, +4 timing plate, and itp hd holeshot tires and i can get it to stand straight up in 3rd gear in about 5 inches of sand going up hill.

Maybe you should try practicing, i know i do and i can shift from 1st to 5th and keep in a wheelie on dirt the hole time.

a yfz 450 should be way more then capable to pull a wheelie in sand. Keep practicing and you'll get good at it.

I weight 130 and i will try practicing. i now remember my first time on my 105 2 stroke and i didnt know how to wheelie it. now there is nothing to stop me from wheeling wether it be a hill or a drop off. after all i have only ridden my yfz twice and by the 4th or 5th time riding my 105 i knew how to wheelie. so maybe i just need to get used to the quad.
THANKS!

yeah your 130 haha your pretty light. but a yfz should wheelie. you would probably have a hard time balancing though with your weight
