Default New Tires for 550 Grizz?

I was wanting to get some tires that will perform well in the snow. I'm debating between the 589's or the itp mudlite xtr's. Also, would it be better to go with 27 inchers or 26?

I would probably stay with the 26". The bigger you get the more likely you are to need clutching changes. I have the XTRs and love them so far. The only thing I haven't tested them on is deep snow. I've been through deep mud and water, big rocks, and hard and soft pack. They've been excellent. 589s are tough tires that will get you through just about everything but will not have as nice a ride as the XTRs.

It is really hard to beat a set of chains for snow.

I just put a set of Bighorn 2.0 on my wolverine. I love the look of the tire. Going riding tomorrow will let you know how they do in the snow and mud.

I noticed a slight wobble when I went to a bigger tire. Not bad.
