Default Raptor 350 Performance (any good)??

My brother in law is looking to maybe buy a raptor 350,
I ride a Banshee so I don't know much about the raptor.
How does the raptor 350 stand up to a banshee or any of
the 450's out there, will it at least keep up or will it get
it's doors blown off????
Help me out, thanks.......

To compair a 350 Raptor to a Shee or a 450 is like compairing a 1969 Chevy pickup with a 2009 ZO6 Corvette. They both have 350 CID but that is where it ends.

Not saying that the 350 Rappy is not a fun machine.....I'm not and they are. But in a race.............well, see the above.

There is no comparison. raptor 350 will get waxed everywhere by a 450, or a banshee Whole different class of quads. He would probably be happier with a 450. Reliable, powerful, fast, and there are some good deals around on used ones.

Good luck

If you want a cheaper quad that wont get blown away look at a Suzuki Z400. It might not win in a drag against a 450 but it wont get its doors blown away neither. It will be a much better trail/allaround machine than any of the 450's that is for shure!

The 450 are the same strung out motors they use on there 450 Motocross bike, they are indented to be rebuilt every so often and are not meant to last thousands of miles like a 400ex or 400 z motor can, thats why they can hang with 700 Raptors but will need a more rebuild long before a lazy 700 will.

The Z06's LS7 is actually a 427 CID, but I like the analogy anyway.

I agree, the analogy did put a smile on my face!
But it's a shame, the quad is brand new,
never saw dirt. The kid rode it maybe three
times on the road and banked a right turn
breaking the right headlight and tweaking the
bars. The quad isn't even broken in yet
and he's letting go $1700
