Uh, no, four strokes don't run good on two stroke fuel.

I used to put two stroke oil in my tractor on purpose. It kept the mosquitoes and greenheads away while I cut the fields...lol.

Years ago...about 30.. I had a lawn mower that for its whole life only burned premix...it lasted 20 yrs and the only reason I replaced it was I wanted a rear bagger style mower..

current day... my sons buddies run blenzal and will only use it for a week after they buy it...Then they give it to me.. Sure smells cool mowing my lawn...

Speaking of exhaust smells [not to highjack wheily's post] on occasion I run bio-diesel in my truck. A friend makes it from cooking oil, really impressive setup. In the summer when I sit and idle, I smell like Burger King. It really sucks when you're hungry though...lol.

I know another guy who puts citronella oil in his tractor for the same reason I put 2-stroke oil. Not sure of the mix but, I guess it works.

I think were still on topic(sort of)...and if not Ill delete what wheily doesnt like..

Wow? Really? Ive heard of those units...even seen them outline one on a show on speed...NEVER thought of what the exhaust might smell like.

I wonder what the benefits of citronella oil are? Id be curious as to what he mixes it at...you mix 40:1 in your tractor? Gas tractor Im assuming?

It was a LoBoy Tractor I sold a few years back. It had a 8 gallon tank and I'd just throw whatever I had in there, {probably would have burned coal if I could get it into the carb...lol]

You can buy bio-diesel setups pre-built. This guy is a retired engineer and built one from scratch. It has a 1200 gallon storage tank. I like to leave it idle by the convenience store and wait for someone to complain. [we have "no idling" signs] At least I can say my 8,800 pound monster of a pick up truck gets 20+ MPG and doesn't burn a drop of fossil fuel...
