If you look at the smoke closely and it has a blue accent sort of, then its the rings. My warrior smoked worse than yours, but mines is getting rebuilt right now. My problem was that the rings were gone, and the valves werent seating right. Im getting a topend rebuild, and they can run anywhere from about 600-1200+, depending on how many problems there are.

Yea you can go that route and not really know until they are all done how much they are going to charge you or you can do like I did. When I bought my warrior it wouldn't start and when I got it to start it knocked like nothing else. I debated getting it rebuilt but I was afraid the case was messed up or something and then I would need a whole new case. I started watching ebay for a couple of months and found several deals where you could buy a rebuilt engine for around $700 with a good core. Then, I found a guy on ebay who was rebuilding them and just flat out selling them just a little over $700. So I ended up buying a freshly rebuilt engine for less then or equal to what it was going to cost to rebuild one and keeping the old engine for parts. It still had a good top end and clutch and the new engine came with a new starter. That was a lot better deal to me than anything else.

valve guides are in the head.warrior are very common for them to wear out you won't hardly find a warrior that dosen't smoke when you first start them thats be cause the valve guides wear. sort of of like valve seals being bad sometimes mistaken for this. make sure you have oil in it start it up let it warm up and see if it still smokes if it doesn't your valve guides are bad. When they get hot they swell and seat better but if your getting oil in your exhaust I would say your gonna need a rebuild more than likely a bore job don't order anything till you tear it down because you don't wont the wrong parts after you get your beast up and running make sure you keep the oil changed because warrior are bad about rod bearings too but you will have no problem if you keep oil changed with a quad or motorcycle oil. all oil is not the same if you use car oil you will be replacing clutches soon I like honda oil for my warrior hope this helps
