2004 yamaha warrior stuck in second gear?
#1
I have a 2004 yamaha warrior 350 and I was riding the other day and when I went to shift from second to third the rear wheels locked up. I started it back with the clutch in and put it in reverse and it went fine. but when I went back to foward gears It will only go in second when i try to shift down it doesnt click or even try to change gears to first or nuetral and when I try to shift up it locks the rear wheels again? any ideas what it may be?

Sounds like trans problem. Probably need to tear into her.
We have an old one in the garage now that my bro is going through for a friend. It was also stuck only going in one gear. The timing chain guide fell off into the bottom of the engine and a chunk was busted off of the tensioner and got ground up in the trans.
Anyway point is we didn't realize how bad things were until we tore into it.
