Exactly how it reads. What does this **** adjust, is it just idle? Probably been covered 100 times. I've looked up schematics but they identify the part (screw, spring, ****, etc) and don't say what it controls. Any help would be great. Thanks

judging by the views to reply ratio, I'm not the only one.

Well, according to the parts diagram, it's the "holder".

Looks like it holds the carb switch in place. Now, what that actually does, I'm not sure.

when you adjust it left or right it affects the idle so? I think it adjusts more than the idle but don't think it has anything to do with the fuel/air mixture. I don't really know. Just looking for help.

Definitely not the air mix screw. Looking at the diagram again, I see it on the cover plate (part #60) connects with the throttle sensor assembly (part #47). So it does seem like it could be for the idle.

yes that is definatly for idle, alot of people ask that question, yamaha should put that in the manual or something. but ya thats idle and the air/fuel ratio screw is on the bottom of the carb next to the float bowl.

Thanks. I apprecaite the help. It just isn't getting enough fuel. I'm going to take the top off the carb and adjust the C-Clip on the needle to the 5th notch and try it then. If it is still running lean, i'll adjust the fuel/air screw. Thanks for the input.
