Default Ok some more Newb questions

OK got a couple more questions, my 4wheeler is an 02 kodiak 400

ok so

1) My lights dont work, they worked fine when i got the thing except one bulb was burnt out, changed that, all was good until i put a new winch on. now i have noe lights and i cant figure out why. everything tested out ok.

2) I went to put new brake pads on the rear and noticed the pads were so worn down it wore the piston down on the caliper. So i call the local ATV wrecking yard and they told me to bring the old caliper in so they could match it up. So i unbolt the brakeline and head out. TOTALLY FORGOT TO PLUG THE LINE!!! so i get home and try bleeding the new caliper. Something is wrong. i cant get it to bleed up. The left hand lever and the foot pedal are connected to something down near the front right tire. how do i bleed that thing?

3) I got a smokin deal on a set of 27" Gator tires. these things are amazing. Had to do a little bit of trimming on the rear but they fit great now. So i was wondering what can be done to get a little bit more power out of this machine without breaking the bank.

Any help with any of these questions would be great, thanx

1) Electrical problems are a PITA... Be as patient as possible. First step, get you a multimeter, unplug your lights and see if you have voltage to the wiring harness before your lights. I was having problems on my Sportsman and the lights, I inspected the bulbs, and they looked good, so I was thinking the problem was somewhere else, but I tested the voltage and I had plenty, so I just replaced the bulbs and they worked fine. Weird thing was they both went out at the same time.

2) Have you tried a vacuum bleeder? Even a cheapo from HF will probably do what you need it to do.

sorry for not answering you question but I have my own question for you. does you kodiak have differential locks? if so is it good? i have a 1998 kodiak 400 with no diff lock (limited-slip-diff) it sucks it gets stuck all of the time in domb places. I am interested in getting a newer one. any in fo would be greatly appreaciated

ive only had it since the beginning of december so ive only had it out in the snow. i had half bald 25" kenda bear claws on it and got stuck twice, both were my own stupidity. since i put these gators on i havent had a problem, it will go anywhere i want it to. are you sure your 4wd is working?
