I have one that was doing that and changed to mobil1 synthetic oil. It helped but didn't completely stop it so i put a inline fuel filter up high in the line so it sets straight up. It gives it a small resevor for the oil to collect in and then drain down while stopped. Works very good and have had no problems since doing it. Hope that helps, Jim

I had the same problem with my Kodiak 450. I thought my top end was toast first, thought it was blowing oil out the intake until I realized it was gear oil getting sucked in through the intake. There was so much that I had to ring out the foam air filter. This would happen even when running the oil 1 inch low in the rear gear case. To fix it I used a ski-doo oil injection filter similar to your fix, I also ran another line from the top end of the filter back down the same route as the one coming up and just let it hang out the back end in case it overflowed. This fixed the issue, I did not get any more oil in the airbox. Any oil that came up collected in the filter and when I stopped riding it would run back down the line, back into the case.
