Default Warrior electrical problem

Hello,

We have a late '90s (1997, I believe) Yamaha Warrior 350. We replaced the stalk starter relay with an aftermarket relay. We had to secure it to the frame with zip ties since it wouldn't fit in the rubber ring the stalk one went in to.

That worked fine until we stalled it in the woods and couldn't start it up again. The electrical system gets absolutely no power -- no starter, neutral light, or headlights. Twice, I tried turning the key on and the neutral light lit up, but pressing the start button only produced a dull click and repeated loss of power.

The battery is fine, new only a few months ago. The starter motor had also been fine. Battery terminals are OK and wires appear to be OK, but I haven't had a thorough look at them yet.

At this point, we've taken off the aftermarket starter relay and we're about to put on the stalk one from the other Warrior after we replaced its relay, when its problem was actually the starter. As far as we know, that old relay works.

What I'm hoping you guys can help me out with is if the starter relay would cause the problems we're having, and if not, how else we could troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks for your time.

Problem solved by transplanting the brand new, stalk starter relay from the other Warrior.... I should have done that before posting this. Sorry for wasting space!
