Default 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf running problem

The atv will start run and idle fine until every once in a while it sort of "burps" and sometimes after the burp will stay running other times it will stall out. The burp comes from the airbox and seems to push air against the cover of the airbox. Ive checked the carb and its clean and i checked the boots on the carb and they seem ok, suggestions anyone? Summer is approaching fast and I want to ride without this stalling on me in the woods all the time

I think I fixed it, I adjusted the screw on bottom of carb that I think is the pilot screw or something and it helped the sucking noise go away. It still happens a little but as long as its pretty warmed up its fine, thanks to all for suggestions =)
