Kenda bearclaws not only "beef" up the looks but also "beef" up the performance considerably. I installed Maier hand guards and a light between the handle bars that changed the looks and the hand guards help in this cold weather. A stronger front bumper would be nice.

stormy,
where did you get the light that is between your handlebars? i have been wanting to do the same thing, but the dealer here said they don't make them for the kodiak. do you have any pics of your kodiak? i would love to see what it looks like so i know what to expect. how much were your tires and will they fit the stock rims?

kodiakz2, I purchased the 55 watt lights from a local parts store for around $29 for the pair. They came with fused wire and a on off switch. I fused the front one and wired it directly into the existing headlight wires. It only comes on when I switch on the high beams. I drilled a hole in that plastic cover that is over the handle bar clamps and mounted it there. The other light I mounted under the rear rack where that hole is for a flag and placed the switch near my handle bar. It makes a real bright back up light but you have to push the switch to make it come on.Its handy also if I am are about to hammer into a muck hole and just before it I turn on the rear light and cause my riding buddy (who is always riding much to closely) to ride blindly into it. JUST KIDDING!(But the thought has crossed my mine)I bought 25" bearclaws and yes they mount on the stock rims.Around $200 for four I think.
