A few Q's - Are all Wolverines 4WD and what would the model # be? YFM450AV??
Bought it used no manual, does this have two separate fluids for transmission and crankcase or just one? I found two drain plugs under the skid plate.
Also by the right footpeg/brake pedal there is a little black plastick plug with a dipstick - it was dry and I'm thinking if there is a dipstick it shoudl be wet with something!!!
Any suggestions on oil? I was just going to go with the Yamalube.
Thanks . . .Mark

As far as I know all 450 wolverines are 4X4.Warm up engine a few minutes before oil removal. OIL-ther is a drain plug and a filter plug remove the drain plug first it looks just like the plug on you car. Then the second plug you talk about is the oil strainer remove it second and just clean it out. the oil strainer plug is much bigger than the drain plug very easy to tell apart. Then just pull out your oil filter and install new one put a light swab of oil on the oil filter seal before install. The front and rear differential have drain plugs at the bottom of the differentials the rear uses a 6mm allen key to take out then there is a fill plug at the top I believe it is a 19mm socket to take it loose fill until oil almost comes out of the fill plug hole. The front uses a 5mm allen key and you fill it the same way. 2 1/2 quarts of yamalube oil for the engine, and only one yamaha gear oil bottle is more than enough for the front and rear differentials. Hope this helps. i would suggest getting a repair manual I know it has helped me alot only 10 bucks on EBAY. The black plug is to drain water out of the belt drive case if you happen to get water in there just pull it out let water drain then push it back in.
