05 660 Raptor exhaust problem, running hot

Default 05 660 Raptor exhaust problem, running hot

My 660 raptor exhaust gets so hot the pipes are glowing red. Any ideas?

well first of all have you done any motor work? if the bike has a high compression piston and your running pump gas that would cause preignition and it would run hot. Also check the coolant level in the radiator and the resivoir make sure both are at appropriate levels... does the raptor have stock exhaust or is it aftermarket. another cause is the bike could be running lean which causes higher combustion temperatures due to the longer it takes the fuel to burn start there

you are running lean, raise your needles up 1 or 2 places & run bigger pilot jet
