Red face 88' Big Bear 350 4x4 starting issue

hey all. i have a big bear 350, just got a new battery for it and i can hear somthing "ticking" near the battery, its a brand new battery so it is charged, and i have cleaned it up and scrubbed the terminals off of dirt or anything

there is somthing near by battery ( possibly magneto or solenoid )

looks like all the wires are connected but im not sure.

i have to keep bump starting her to start up. but the starter worked for awhile and kinda still does. any help would be great

yea thats the starter solenoid clicking, check those wires on the solenoid and make sure there not loose, corroded, frayed or anything, check for any bad relays also. you can use a testlight on the wires to and from the solenoid to find out if the power is going from the solenoid to the battery, if power is reaching the starter then its most likely shot or locked up or something, i know on some bikes you can just clean the starter out and they can work again, usually starters that are mounted low, they get full of water, dirt, mud over time and lock up and can be brought back to life with a good cleaning but sometimes the dirt causes them to fry, if you think it might be the starter then you could take it out and go to autozone or maybe some other parts stores to have them put it on there tester.
