1994/1996 Warrior 350
#1
Hey guys whats up? I'm new to the forum. How are y'all? I came to see if maybe I can get a little help in figuring out whats wrong with this warrior I have. So I have a '96 warrior with a '94 engine from another bike. Problem I ran into was the connectors coming from the stator on the engine is different from the connectors coming off of the bike itself. Also, some of the color codes on the wires from the stator are different than the frame color code. So anyways, like a smart guy I cut off the connectors from the old engine and soldered them onto the replacement motor. Big mistake. So far when I turn the bike on I get the neutral light when in neutral, the reverse light when in reverse, the bike will turn over, but I don't get any spark. So I'm sure I have a wire out of place somewhere. I bought a clymer book, but the diagrams are pretty much useless unless you have a split wire. Anyways, I was just wondering if there is any way I can test and see which wires go where. Any help is appreciated.

welcome to the forum! unfortunately ive never had to splice up wires on a harness on warriors, but it might be best to ebay a harness for the older engine in order to make it work correctly, if i were you i would ohms test the stator to make sure its within spec just incase the wiring actually is all good...sometimes messing around with stuff like that on a harness can be a real pain in the **** and time consuming.
