Default Choke problems 1986 yamaha yfm80

Hi; my son just gave me this 1986 yamaha yfm80 he picked up for me. I am 75 and need this so I can still fish and hunt due to a real tough time walking now. I know its a youth model; but will do no hill climbing, fast riding etc. It's just so I can get to the stream or a hunting stand.
PROBLEM WITH CHOKE:

The previous owner had taken the choke apart and my Haynes Manual gives no instructions on the choke; does not even show a schematic on it.
I need to know how to put it back together again; and how many times I turn the spring that makes the choke close.
Any help at all will sure be appreciated. I got drawn for early deer season and it starts Aug 1st; not much time to get it running dependably.

That blow apart parts pic is the same as mine,... Mines a 96 model There's not much of a spring to wind up on the choke,.... it's just a friction type thing,... flip thelever into whichever positioin you need it to be in and it stays there..... Not real tight,... not real loose. Wanna buy a 96 model that never has an issue...????? 'course it's in Dallas, Texas area...... And available for pickup if you bring cash....

Thanks for the info Chris & Terrellster; especially on how a big guy like you can use it without a problem; i was kinda worried about that. I'm 5'10 and 170lbs so should have no problems then; real good news! Sounds like with the difference in weight between us I should be able to haul out my deer; or at least a half at a timel Now to get the sucka running, and dependable!

Yeah, I'm a large one too, at 6 foot and 205.... the little guys can pull the weight no problem... just like you said though... not much of a hill climber with my big *** on it.
